from the birthday girl

It’s been centuries since my last post, and I think today is the best day to start blogging again. My friends have been asking me why I didn’t update my blog. You’ll find the answers in this post. I’m gonna write a lot of things that has happened in my life during my absence.

On September I almost didn’t have the time to post anything, since I was so busy applying for a scholarship in UK. The program is called the British Chevening Awards. They had lots of simple questions but definitely difficult to answer. I had been sitting in front of my PC, reading those questions over and over again, trying to find the best answer to fill those empty boxes. And it took me almost a month to finally fill the boxes with fairly suitable answers. You see, I downloaded the application form on 3rd of September and finished filling the form on 29th of September. And I didn’t answer it alone. I called Pipi a few times, asked for her help. I also asked for Debby and Lissa’s help. So I guess I have to thank you guys for helping me out!!

I had lots of assignments from school. Every single lecturer gave us assignments. Some of them were really difficult ones, some were too many to handle, and some of them were just too pointless to spend your time on. It’s true!! Not only those deadly assignments, I had to prepare myself for exams too. In addition to that, I still have lots of things to do for my final project. This final project is kinda scary. It makes me sick, even just thinking about it. Okay enough of these…

I have a bad news, maybe some of you have read it in Pipi’s blog. My two lovely bunnies died. Thumper (Rum) died on Saturday, 7th October 2006. Cookies (Raisin) die a week later (Saturday, 14th October 2006). Fortunately I wasn’t at home both times. So I didn’t have to watch the heartbreaking scenes. May your soul rest in peace in the heaven full of carrots and veggies. I’m gonna post their baby pictures very soon.

Last Sunday I went to Bandung with my family. It was such a crazy shopping moments. I bought a few tops and accessories. I can’t wait to have the moment to wear them. We didn’t actually go anywhere else beside FOs. Ooh, and we went to this nice café called CONGO in Dago. The atmosphere was nice and the beverages taste quite nice with reasonable prices too. I will soon post the picts.

Btw, I feel that today’s not that special, even though it’s my birthday. I remember how I used to be soooo happy, knowing that my parents would throw another birthday party with colorful balloons and gifts wrapped in printed papers. Then I would enjoy writing invitations for friends and relatives. After that I would be showered by nothing but pure gladness that I would blow another candle and eat another birthday cakes.

But now… No more great parties since can’t afford one. T-T *hiks* More over I realize that every single year added up in my life brings greater responsibility with it. Another candle means another the stage of maturity that I have to be in. Until eventually, for me, birthdays will no longer be a celebration. They will just be a countdown to the end of my story… Sounds terrifying I know, but it’s true, isn’t it?

Hmmm... I think I know one thing that I love about birthdays. YUP!! Birthday presents!! So come on guys, send me those gifts!!! Hahahahhaha…
