heart or brain
"In a battle between our thought and feelings, you really had to listen to your feelings especially if that involve with some one you really like, because love comes from your feelings not from your thought, it comes from your heart not your brain."
I read this statement in Kevin’s blog and somehow I found it interesting. I do agree with this statement. There’s no wrong in saying that we had to listen to our feelings when it comes to love. And it is absolutely right that love comes from your heart and not from your brain. But I think if we happened to experience this kind of situation in the real world, it wouldn’t be as simple as what has been written above.
People often tell me not to give 100% of your heart to somebody if you wouldn’t want your heart to break. In other words, do not love someone to the full. Honestly I didn’t get that. How come a person loves somebody but in the same time does not give 100% of his / her heart? A friend of mine once said that the only way not giving all your heart to somebody is by keeping your mind clear and not affected by your feelings. Another hard thing to do.
I don’t know what would happen to other person if they were in the situation. All I know is I am a person of feelings. I nearly never ever chose thoughts over feelings. If you’re close to me, you’d know, I’m a stubbornly stupid little bitch.
Anyways, when you think a lot about how to love somebody and let your brain works harder than your heart, will you be able to love him / her truly? Our brains make decisions based on what’s good for us. So there’s always the possibility of falling into a relationship of advantages and benefits. If somebody brings you some benefits (financially, mentally, or sexually) your brain would tend to tell you to pick him / her. You want to be with them because they have money or power, or great sex appeal, or they just simply have the parent’s most wanted children in law character. You have to be careful. That’s not love.
But then if you purely use your feelings, your brain would stop thinking at the exact time that your senses would stop working. In times like this, pull yourself together and stay alerted!! Or you’ll be a great snack for those good-guy-looking bastardos.
Love is the most complicated thing God has ever created. At least that’s how it seems to me. Solving love related problems requires your brain, heart, and senses to be all switched on at all times. And I think a good relationship is the one with balance activity of hearts and brains, of bodies, minds, and souls.
I don’t know why I wrote another pointless post... don’t care larrr...
